There needs to be a comprehensive effort to increase teacher competency

DETEKSIPOST.COM – Tolitoli District Education and Culture Office on Monday morning (10/22) carried out Educational and Competency Enhancement Training activities for Educators and Education Personnel at the Mitra Utama Hotel Meeting Room.
 
The activity which will be held until October 25, 2018, will be attended by 50 participants consisting of representatives of teachers at the TK, SD and SLTP levels from 10 Sub-districts in Tolitoli Regency.
 
The head of the Tolitoli District Education and Culture Office’s Quality Improvement Section, Putu Artha Wijaya, SE, as Chairperson of the Committee in his report, stated that the purpose and objective of this activity was for participants to develop a Continuous Professional Program PKB.
 
Participants could understand the mechanism .use of Information Technology (IT) and can have new positive motivations and initiatives that are more focused in the case of scientific writing.
 
Deputy Regent of Tolitoli Hi. Abdul Rahman Hi. Budding who opened the event while delivering his speech said, education is a very important factor in determining the progress of the nation.
 
along with the advancement of science and technology, now improvement efforts in the field of education is a necessity that must be implemented. These efforts include improving the curriculum, improving teacher competencies and improving educational infrastructure.
 
Deputy Regent also explained, education requires the participation of all parties and one of the important elements is the teacher. Teachers as implementers of education are required to improve their competence.
 
The existence of the teacher is also a very dominant factor, therefore there needs to be a comprehensive effort to improve the competence of the teacher so that in the assessment later it will be more professional in the material taught so that it can be accepted by students well.
 
.this activity was also attended by the Head of the Central Sulawesi Educational Quality Assurance Agency Drs. Abdul Gani, M.Si, Head of Tolitoli District Education and Culture Office, Moh Rudi Bantilan, S.Sos., M.Sc., Head of OPD and the Head of the work unit in the Tolitoli Regency Governmentand Resource Persons and Instructors.
