Even though the terrain is difficult, the Battalion 123/RW Task Force Patrol Checks the RI-Papua New Guinea State Boundary Marks


MERAUKE – DETEKSIPOST.COM – Ensuring that the boundary markers of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia are always safe, in good condition and maintained, the Indonesian Pamtas Task Force Post-PNG Infantry Battalion 123/Rajawali carries out border stake patrols along the Southern Border of Papua, precisely in the Merauke Regency Area , Papua.
 
This was conveyed by Dansatgas Pamtas RI-PNG Infantry Battalion 123/Rajawali in a written release in Merauke Regency, Papua, Thursday (31/3/2022).
 
The Dansatgas revealed that the patrolling of state border markers is one of the main tasks of the Battalion Battalion 123/Rajawali Task Force with the aim of minimizing or preventing and overcoming threats from foreign parties as well as cross-border criminal activities in the border areas between the two countries.
 
“One of the tasks of the RI-PNG Pamtas Task Force is to maintain the integrity of the country’s border areas, as well as to overcome current and future threats to state sovereignty, namely by carrying out patrols to state border markers as check points,” said Dansatgas.
 
Meanwhile, Inf. Lt. Aldo Indajaya (Pasi Ops Satgas) said that the patrol was carried out in difficult terrain with conditions varying from Scrub, Forest, Swamp to Crossing the River.
 
“The whole journey while crossing the field is carried out with vigilance and full caution because Papua’s natural conditions are still rarely touched, so we don’t know what dangers threaten.” said Aldo.
 
The implementation of this Border Patrol is carried out by all Posts that have the responsibility of Marks and with a strong spirit the Battalion Battalion 123/RW Task Force managed to carry out the Patrol in a safe condition even though there were obstacles and these obstacles were a challenge.
