HONORARY CONSUL OF UKRAINE IN BALI DELIVERED 1.5 TON OF RICE AND STAPLE FOOD TO ASSIST RESIDENTS OF SESETAN VILLAGE, DENPASAR SELATAN

Bali – deteksipost.com – Welcoming the commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia and continuing a week tater on the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence on August 24, 2021, the Honorary Consul of Ukrame in Denpasar Bali held a humanitarian social activity in the form of delivering food packages to residents of Sesetan Village, Denpasar Bali.
 
The COVID-19 pandemic, which is lasted already more than 1.5 years greatly impacted the commun’ty due to restrictions on activities and the application of new regimens in community daily life. Especially in Bali, where almost 80% of the people are involved either directly or indirectly in the tourism sector. Balinese people feel a huge impact because of the cessation of tourism.
 
In an effort to help reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the difficulties expenenced by the community in meeting basic needs, the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Denpasar Bali handed over 1.5 ton of nce and other basic food packages such as instant noodles, frying oil, egg, and sugar to residents of Sesetan Village in need.
 
The handover of aid was carried out by the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Denpasar Bali, | Nyoman Astama, symbolically to the Sesetan Village Head, Mrs. Ni Ketut Sri Karyawati, SKM, M.Kes at the Ukramman Consulate office in Br. Pegok Sesetan, South Denpasar.
 
The food delivery event was joined by a member of the Bali DPRD, Mrs. Ni Wayan Sari Galung, S.Sos, a member of the Bali DPRD legislature from Br. Pegok, Sesetan, and the Heads of Environment (Kaling) in Sesetan Village.
 
“We hope that this humanitarian social action can significantly help the residents of Sesetan Vil age who realty have need of it and who are experiencing challenges as a result of this COVID-19 pandemic,” said the Honorary Consul of Ukraine.
Consul Nyoman Astama thanked the Ukrainian citizens in Bali, to the philanthropists and volunteers who have sincerely donated these food packages and their energy so that this socal action activity can be carried out.
 
On this occasion, the Sesetan Village Head expressed his gratitude on behalf of the residents of Sesetan Village to the Ukrainian Honorary Consul in Denpasar for his concern for local residents in reducing the burden on residents due to the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Meanwhile, a member of the Bali DPRD from Banjar Pegok Sesetan, Mrs. Ni Wayan Sari Galung, S.Sos, expressed her appreciation for this social action as a real effort by representatives of friendly countries in Bali to help local community members in need and hopes that such activities can continue in the future.
