Pangkogabwilhan III Inaugurates Temple of Ksatria Shanti Bhuana Kodam XVIII/Kasuari


MANOKWARI – DETEXIPOST.COM – Commander of the Joint Defense Area Command (Pangkogabwilhan) III, Lt. Gen. I Nyoman Cantiasa, S.E., M.Tr.(Han)., inaugurated the Temple of Ksatria Shanti Bhuana Kodam XVIII/Kasuari located in the Makodam complex, Trikora, Arfai 1, Manokwari, West Papua, Sunday (15/5/2022).
 
In his remarks, Pangkogabwilhan III expressed his joy and emotion with the extraordinary development of the Kodam, after so many months he left, and today has the honor to inaugurate the use of the Ksatria Shanti Bhuana Temple belonging to the XVIII/Kasuari Kodam.
 
“On behalf of myself and the Command, I would like to thank you for carrying out today’s activities. This is where we can know that building a nation cannot be done alone, it must be a whole, integrated and comprehensive,” he said.
 
“This temple is a proof of tolerance between religious communities, let’s maintain tolerance, unity and integrity and to the Hindus who are here, both soldiers and the community, thank you for the help and cooperation so that this place of worship can be realized,” said Pangkogabwilhan III.
 
Meanwhile Pangdam XVIII/Kasuari, Major General of the TNI Gabriel Lema, S, Sos., hopes that what has been initiated by Lt. Gen. I Nyoman Cantiasa, S.E., M.Tr.(Han), Hindu worship activities will be better, which will automatically lead to social life. and the nation is definitely better as an effort to build strong character and morals and spirituality for the successful implementation of the main tasks in accordance with their respective responsibilities.
 
“The existence of this temple can also be the main capital in fostering and developing inter-religious harmony, especially since this temple was built next to places of worship for other religions, mosques and churches, we can see this as a form of religious harmony and as an identity for the diversity of the Indonesian nation,” Kodam soldiers must also be examples in building tolerance between religious communities,” said the Pangdam.
 
The Chief of the Arfak Tribe, Drs. Dominggus Mandacan, who was also present at the inauguration, represented all the tribes of the archipelago and the tribal chiefs in West Papua were ready to continue what had been started and laid down by their predecessors to be able to accept all the tribes that existed together with Papua and Manokwari.
 
“I invite the community to maintain security, order and peace and there should be no riots and so on, it is extraordinary what has been done today so that at this Kodam there are already mosques, churches and temples, it is hoped that soldiers can take advantage of this place of worship and make strong faith,” he explained.
 
Ksatria Shanti Bhuana Temple has a building area of ​​645 square meters, most of the building materials use the basic material of Mount Agung lava which was sent directly from Bali, with a construction period of almost five months, using unit self-help funds and assistance from several parties. Currently, the construction of the Catur Buana Raja Ampat Temple near the Raja Ampat International tourist attraction is also being carried out with the support of the Raja Ampat Regency Government whose groundbreaking was carried out by Lt.
