Closing the G20 Bali Summit, President Jokowi is grateful that the Bali G20 Declaration was adopted and ratified


BALI – DETEKSIPOST.COM – President Joko Widodo officially closed the 2022 G20 Summit which was held in Bali for two days on 15-16 November 2022. In the closing session of the G20 Summit which was held at the Apurva Kempinski Hotel, Badung Regency, Bali Province, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the President is honored to have chaired the G20 for the past year.
 
“It is an honor for Indonesia to lead the G20 for the past year. Our presidency was started with the hope of uniting our common intentions in realizing an inclusive world recovery from a pandemic,” said the President starting his remarks.
 
As the presidency of the G20, Indonesia has sought the best solutions during one year of leadership in the midst of new challenges that have arisen. The President is grateful that the G20 Indonesia has produced a document in the form of the Bali G20 Leaders Declaration.
 
“Alhamdulillah, today we were able to adopt and ratify the G20 Bali Leaders Declaration. This is the first declaration that has been realized since February 2022. I express my highest appreciation to all those present who have provided flexibility so that the declaration can be agreed upon and ratified,” he said.
 
“I also want to express my highest appreciation to all working groups and engagement groups for their dedication, contribution of ideas and contributions to the presidency of the G20 Indonesia,” he added.
 
Apart from the declaration, the Indonesian presidency also produced concrete deliverables which contained a list of cooperation projects for G20 member countries and invitations. According to President Jokowi, this cooperation project will help bring the work of the G20 closer to the people.
 
“Ensuring that the G20 benefits not only its members, but also the world, and especially developing countries. _Let us recover together, recover stronger,”_ he said.
 
Also accompanying the President in the closing session of the G20 Summit were the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, and Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo.
