The 9th Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) in 2023 was launched after the closing of the 8th BBTF at the Westin Hotel, Nusa Dua, Friday, 17 June 2022.
The 9th BBTF took the theme ‘Reconnecting to Quality and Sustainable Tourism’. ASITA DPP chairman Nunung Rusmiati said the theme was aimed at the potential for quality and sustainable tourism.
“It is also hoped that it will have an economic impact on the surrounding community and tourism actors,” said Nunung, Friday, June 17, 2022.
He added, there were many obstacles faced in the implementation of BBTF, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the enthusiasm of travel business people can solve these challenges.
“There were many obstacles during Covid-19, but it turned out to be successful, followed by many provinces. This is where tourism turns the wheels of the economy,” said Nunung.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the 2022 BBTF Committee and Chair of the Bali ASITA DPD I Putu Winastra added that the launch of the 9th BBTF tagline was an exposure that Bali was again ready to receive tourist visits.
“Next year, we have to do something different so that it has an attraction, buyers and sellers will get greater benefits,” said Winastra.
Meanwhile, buying and selling transactions for tourist destinations in BBTF 2023 are targeted to reach Rp 5.2 trillion. Or, an increase of 22% compared to the 2022 BBTF of IDR 5 trillion.
“If the situation is better, I believe the target will be exceeded and we are optimistic,” said Putu Winastra.(team).
