
DETEKSIPOST.COM – As many as 6 foreign aircraft carrying 103 tons of aid from Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaimandi Balikpapan International Airport to Al-Jufri Pearl Airport in Palu City, Central Sulawesi on Wednesday (10/17). the six aircraft are transportation support from the Governments of the United States, Australia, Canada, Korea, Japan and Singapore.
A total of 64 flight sorties using military transport planes brought aid from Balikpapan as an entry point to Palu. The aircraft, which on average uses the C-130 Hercules type, transports domestic and foreign assistance in the form of food and non-food assistance.
the food aid that was unloaded was in the form of mineral water, instant noodles, biscuits, baby nutrition food, cooking oil and rice, while non-food was dominated by tents. In addition, the aircraft also lowered 1 unit of forklift which was used to transport goods derived from the aircraft.
BNPB reported that undelivered assistance as of 17/10/10 2018 consisted of 32 units of generators from China as many as 32 units (3.46 tons) and Alpinter tents from UNICEF as many as 42 sets (14.49 tons). this assistance will be transported and sent to Palu with US and Japanese Air Force aircraft today.
“The total international assistance received by the Government of Indonesia weighs 980 tons in the food and non-food categories,” explained BNPB Head of Data, Information and Public Relations Sutopo Purwo Nugroho.
