Anzac Day Commemoration 2019

DETEKSIPOST.COM – DENPASAR – BALI, The Australian Consulate-General in Bali, along with representatifves of the New Zealand Embassy in Jakarta, held a dawn service this morning to commemorate Anzac Day.
 
On the 25 th of april Australians and New Zealanders remember thevsecrifice of those Australian and New Zealand servicemen who formed part of the allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli penisula in 1915.
 
These servicemen became known as the Anzac, and although, the gallipoli campaigh failed in ist military objectives, actions by the Anzac during the campaign left a powerful legacy for Australians and New Zealand.
 
_IMG_000000_000000 #the Autralian Consulate-Geberal was also attended by representatives of the Australian Defeence force and representatives of the Bali, Bali Provincial Gavernment, Kodem IX/Udayana, Lanud Ngurah Rai, Dan Lanal Banyuwangi, Polda Bali.
 
Today, Anzac Day has evolved to honour and remember all Austrakians and New Zealanders serviscemen and women, who have served their country in wars, conflicts and peacemaking operations, Rosemary is traditionally worn on Anzac Day as a sign of remembrance, as it can be found growing on the Gallipoli penisula.
 
Anzac Day Is a special time for Australians and New Zealanders, We take time to remember and commemorate those who in the past and present have served their country withsacrifice and honour.
 
We also remmember the victinms of war and we reflect on the need for harmony, tolerance and peace for all peoples, “said Australian Consul-General , Dr Helena Studdeert.
 
Counsellor of the New Zealand Embassy In Jakarta, Ms Barbara Welton, Attended the ceremony and read ‘In Flanders Fields”, a war poem with references to the red poppies that grew over the greves of fallen soldiers.
 
The Anzac Day ceremony at the Autralian Consulate-Geberal was also attended by representatives of the Australian Defeence force and representatives of the Bali, Bali Provincial Gavernment, Kodem IX/Udayana, Lanud Ngurah Rai, Dan Lanal Banyuwangi, Polda Bali, Badung, and the Denpasar Government, as Well as More than 200 Australians and New Zelanders In Bali.(Team).
