President Jokowi Inaugurates Boy Rafli Amar to Become BNPT Head

President Joko Widodo (Widodo) inaugurated the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) at the State Palace, DKI Jakarta Province, Wednesday (6/5).
 
The inauguration procession began with the national anthem of Indonesia Raya, followed by the reading of the Presidential Decree (Keppres) of the Republic of Indonesia by the Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Administration, Farid Utomo.
 
Inspector General (Irjen) Boy Rafli Amar was appointed as the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT), based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 86 / TPA 2020 concerning Dismissal and Appointment of and in the Position of Major High Leadership within the National Counter Terrorism Agency.
 
The decision was made in Jakarta on May 5, 2020 by President Joko Widodo.
 
After the reading of the Presidential Decree, the event continued with the oath / promise by the Head of PPATK in front of the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
 
“By God, I swear that I will obey the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and will carry out all the laws and regulations as straightforward as possible, for the sake of my devotion to the people, the homeland, and the nation.
 
That I will maintain integrity, not abuse my authority, and avoid being condemned, “said Boy Rafli Amar.
 
Next, the event continued with the signing of the minutes by Boy Rafli Amar as the Head of BNPT, which was then endorsed by President Jokowi.
 
The event ended with congratulations from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, followed by invited guests present.
 
To note, Boy Rafli Amar replaces Suhardi Alius who was transferred as Factor Main Criminal Investigation Police.
 
Previously, Boy Rafli served as Deputy Head of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) National Police Education and Training Institute.
 
Also present at the inauguration were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, State Secretary Pratikno, and National Police Chief General Idham Aziz.
